we met in middle school
We went to the same preschool, but it wasn’t until middle school that we connected at our church's youth group. We started dating in high school and were married 5 years later. Since then we’ve built a business from the ground up, graduated college (Go Gators), backpacked Europe for a month, got a dog, bought a house & photographed hundreds of weddings.
Growing up together has been the greatest gift - getting to see the growth in each other and not just hear about it. Life together has been filled with highs and lows and loss and gain and hope and disappointment, and everything in between. It’s through the hard moments that we have learned how to hold onto hope, to dig in and not give up on each other or ourselves, to pursue healing and growth, and to fight for each other. It's safe to say we're more in love now than that summer day in May when we said "I do."

These are some of the faces that have changed us forever. Joel's mom founded a nonprofit called Saving Grace in Uganda in 2009, and we have been a part of it ever since. Any spare time we have goes towards volunteering with administrative tasks, taking photos, social media or leading teams to Uganda. We typically travel to Uganda once a year to visit our staff and children over there and help in any way we can. Thousands of children's lives have been changed through this organization and it is our absolute honor to play any role in the mission.

All the emotions came back going through our photos in a way neither of us expected. Going through each other's getting ready photos felt like we were there living the moment and looking back. We are blown away at the moments captured and the quality of images. It took us two days just to digest the photos and take it all in. A major takeaway was also the photos of all our friends and family and those sweet moments. It's crazy how fast things move that day/night and there were a few people we weren't able to grab a photo with. But Joel & Sammy gave us the best gift without even realizing it by managing to get beautiful, candid, and heartwarming photos of all our guests and we can't express enough how much that means to us. We felt like we were able to give back to our guests their own moment of our special day."
